This weekend I am mainly listening to ...
"Frankie Vaughan at the London Palladium", his Top 10 album from 1959. Why? Because Frankie and I are so much cooler than you could ever hope to be. It's not your fault. You just weren't born with cool genes.
Meanwhile, Frankie is aboot tae kick doon the Green Door.Mr HGo here if you want to know more.January 2011
The greatest hippity-hop album Ever
Is without doubt "Elementalz" by The Brotherhood. It was when it came out back in 1996, and it still is today. I play it once a month just to remind myself of how awesomely awesome it is, and also to remember a time when hippity hop still had some depth.
One mixed race, one black, one yid had the power of a pyramid. Mr Dexter, Shylock & Mr Spyce. Awesome Great British hippity-hop.You can get it for thruppence second hand on Amazon Mr HThe Brotherhood - One ShotJanuary 2011
Postcard of the Week - the miners' strike
Lochgelly Miners Women's Action Group - ltd edition postcard showing march in support of the 1984/85 miners' strike.
I went on the picket lines oot in West Lothian, in support of my uncles and cousins who were doon the pit.
Seems a bit pointless in the me, me, me, benefits centred world we live in noo, but folks actually took some pride in themselves back then. It seems like another world now, almost like a BBC4 documentary from the Dark Ages.

A zombie free lunch hour is a good lunch hour
A zombie free lunch hour is a good lunch hour, although the large amount of gunfire at the posh part of the Water Of Leith drove me away early from my lunch in the cemetary. After all, you never know when your name is on a bullet.
