Leith No Moar

It's true. Mr H officially left the building last week, and is no
longer living in Leith. We go back a long way. My mammy was born in
Bonnington Road, she was baptised at St Marys Star of The Sea, and
went to St Anthonys School. Most of her many brothers and sisters
were born there, the last of them still living in Leith was my Uncle
Bill, who died 5 years back. Which left me (and I suspect my cousin
Jimmy Martin). Bit I've gone.

Here's what it looked like when my grandparents were living there, and
here's what Easter Road looked like when I was a boy. And where I
ended up living for 20 years, on and off. In fact, the Easter Road
picture was taken from right ootside my front door. [sniff].
